Popularly known as the first amusement park in Macau, Macau Fisherman's Wharf boast its 111,500 square meter themed park open to the touring public for free (no admission fees) since it officially opened on December 31, 2006. Located in the Outer Harbour, this place is very near the Macau Ferry Terminal and Heliport (approximately 5 minutes walk), Macau Fisherman's Wharf is the landmark that greets visitors upon disembarking from the the ferryboat.
It took 5 years for this place to construct, has 3 main visitors attractions which were: Tang Dynasty, East Meets West and Legend Wharfs.
- Tang Dynasty Fortress you can find buildings and towers imitating the Tang Dynasty Style.
- East Meets West is where you can find the following attractions: Vulcania (houses the roaler coasters), Aladdin's Fort (where a variety of children's funfair rides is located), Aqua Romanis (Roman styled shopping center), Roman Amphitheater ( a great venue for concerts and other performances) and Convention and Exhibition Centre.
- While the Legend Wharf were styled like the famous seaports of the world such as Cape Town, Amsterdam and Venice this place housed about 150 stores, restaurants, amusement and gaming center and the 72 rooms Rocks Hotel.
It was around 3 pm when we arrived at The Fisherman's Wharf, the tour guide took us there as our last destination of our Macau Tour. Since we only have a short time to spend there, we didn't waste any time and immediately explored the place. Even if being exposed to the sun was already very painful, still it didn't stopped us to pause and take some photos. It was sad that we have to be back to Hong Kong by evening. I think this place looks better at night with all the lighting and special effects that this place have. Well, it gave me reason to go back to Macau some day. There's so much to see here.
