Patti's Grill and Seafood Restaurant

It was another lazy night for us, lazy to cook dinner so we decided to go downtown and try another restaurant in the new found place called The Brick Lane Square located at Palma Gil St. Bo. Obrero Davao City. It was upon the recommendations of an officemate that we discovered this place, and I was not aware that this property was developed into an new place to hang-out in Davao City.

There were already several restaurants operating at The Brick Lane Square and these are The Bagnetian Kitchen, Locker Room, Last Exit, Patio de Murell Resto Bar, Business Class and Patti's Grill and Seafood Restaurant.  Dave and I decided to have dinner at Patti's Grill. It was already a few minutes past 7:00 in the evening and there were only few people around the place. I think we are the first costumers of Patti's that evening =)

There were several choices in the menu and to make ordering fast I asked the waiter for their bestsellers. And he in turn recommended several dishes, since there are only the 2 of us, we only ordered 3 dishes and those are mixed seafood soup, lengua estofado, chicken and seafood pancitsuey and passionfruit juice for our drinks.

While waiting for our orders to be cooked, I went out to check the place and took some photos. The whole square was not huge but big enough to accommodate a crowd and several bars and restos. It's clean, no planned landscapes and they preserved some trees to remain standing that will surely give shades and cool air during daytime.

The waiter served the mixed seafood soup first. It has shrimps, crabs, some variety of shells and fish. The chef didn't put cream in it like what I'm used to other restaurants. It was just stewed with some vegetables, long green chili, onions and ginger  It taste really good.

The chicken and seafood pancitsuey looks like a combination of sauteed noodles and chopsuey. Well the name itself was obviously suggesting it was like that. I am not very fun of fresh noodles though I like chopsuey very much. It was good but just a little salty.

Patti's lengua estofado was the best among what we ordered. The ox toungue was tender while the vegetables are crunchy. The tomato sauce was so creamy and blends well with the meat. Lengua is one of my favorite dishes and I can say this one is one of the best I have tasted. It's a MUST TRY at Patti's Grill =)

After dinner, we got our bill and paid only P595 for everything, wasn't that great!!! The service was good, the servers were friendly, the price were reasonable and the place is clean. Patti's Grill and Seafood Restaurant is a must visit here in Davao City.
